A edição especial J1 comemora o Junkers J1 - o primeiro avião metálico voador da história da aviação, desenvolvido pela Junkers. Até então, os aviões eram construídos apenas com componentes leves, como madeira, tecido e cabos de aço. Estes tinham a desvantagem de os necessários suportes externos causarem resistência e de a carga útil e a segurança serem naturalmente limitadas.
Hugo Junkers estava convencido de que estes problemas fundamentais poderiam ser resolvidos através da integração das escoras em asas metálicas. Mas fazer voar o metal era considerado impossível. Através de uma investigação intensiva no domínio da aerodinâmica, Professor Hugo Junkers conseguiu conceber a forma ideal de uma asa metálica. Ao fazê-lo, revolucionou a construção de aviões. O J1 foi concluído em 1915 e voou sem falhas no seu primeiro voo de teste. Foi o único voo que o J1 efectuou, mas mesmo assim entrou para a história da aviação.

Ich finde die verschraubte Krone super. Endlich gibts eine Junkers Uhr mit dieser Krone. Und das Ziffernblatt schaut auch cool aus!

Heute bekommen und bin begeistert. Sehr schöne Uhr mit tollem Armband. Der Tragekomfort ist mir persönlich wichtiger als 100% Genauigkeit. Kann ja eingestellt werden...daher von mir 5*

Seit nunmehr fast zwei...
Seit nunmehr fast zwei Jahren bin ich mit meiner J 1 unterwegs. Es ist für mich ein besonderes Gefühl, da eine wahrlich interessante Geschichte mit dieser Uhr verbunden ist. "Für Professor Junkers war die Luftfahrt viel mehr als nur das Übertreffen von Flugrekorden. Er sah die Luftfahrt als Verkehrs- und Transportmittel der Zukunft und als echte Alternative zu Schiff und Bahn", gerade jetzt trifft diese Aussage mehr als zu. Ein Umdenken der Fortbewegung und eine genauere Betrachtungsweise der Herstellung von Produkten sollten bewusster wahrgenommen werden. Die Qualität, Optik und das Automatik-Uhrwerk bereiten mir viel Freude. Tolle Beratung, prima Service und ein überaus freundliches Junkers-Team. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die J1Sonderedition hat...
Die J1Sonderedition hat eine sportlich und doch elegante Ausstrahlung durch das mitternachtsblaue Zifferblatt, das bei Lichteinfall changiert sowie dem Wechsel von polierten und satinierten Flächen. Auch die Krone passt sehr gut dazu. Auch das Metallarmband macht einen edlen Eindruck und ist poliert/matt wie das Gehäuse. Die Qualität ist sehr hochwertig was man an der Doppeltfaltschliesse und dem tollen Finish erkennt. Das Lederarmband ist schön, weich und geschmeidig. Für schmale und mittelbreite Handgelenke halte ich diese Größe für optimal und bin sehr begeistert. Was fehlt ist eine Anleitung zum kürzen des Metallarmbandes, das etwas diffizil ist und Geschicklichkeit sowie das richtige Werkzeug erfordert.

Beautiful watch, perfect size on the wrist, a clean, simple yet elegant design, versatile as it can be worn dressy or casual. Easy to read luminous hands. Glass backed case is a nice and interesting touch. Bravo!

Nice looking watch with...
Nice looking watch with very good finish for the price. The crystal case back is really nice and this is something that you find in more expensive watches. I like the light-brown leather strap that gives the watch a vintage aviation look. I bought a blue leather strap that makes the watch looking more formal. With the choice of leather and NATO straps this watch can be very flexible for wearing it in different occasions. It’s about 15-20 seconds / day fast and has a small second hand stutter which is normal from the Miyota movement. Very light and comfortable on the wrist. I got a nice serial number too . Also very good customer service from Junkers. Overall happy with the watch and excellent value for a limited edition watch.
